View Property: Finishes Sixth Month With Expanded Database, Increased Traffic

Six months since launching, is now achieving 20,000 visits per month on its sophisticated luxury platform. The world’s first global database of hotel-branded residences and hotel condominiums now includes over 250 properties affiliated with 59 hotel brands in 42 countries around the world.

“In many of the world’s hotel markets, building a luxury hotel without residences is not financially attractive to developers,” explained founder Dan August Cordeiro. “Hotel management companies increasingly realize that lending their brand to luxury residences opens the door to expand their hotel management portfolio, and more and more of them are getting into the sector.”

And just what are potential buyers looking for?

The most viewed developments on during the month of May included Montage Residences Deer Valley, which nabbed the #1 spot, while users interested in specific apartment listings were most interested in the New York market. The most clicked through listings for sale included the $60 million penthouse at Baccarat Residences New York, a $1.9 million hotel condo suite at the Plaza Hotel available through Elizabeth Lorenzo and an $8.5 million two-bedroom home on the market through Cornelia Zagat-Eland, both of Stribling & Associates.

For the first time, city lifestyles surpassed beach destinations in user searches, with New York and Massachusetts topping the list of locations, and Florida ranking third. From a brand perspective, Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton continue to be the most searched on, although they have the widest selection of properties and locations. For the second time this year, Dubai-based Address Hotels was in the top three most searched brands, as the sector catches on in the Middle East and the hotel brand expands its residential portfolio in the desirable Downtown Dubai district.
