The only online directory of hotel residences for sale, HotelHomes.com, celebrated its 100,000th visitor to the website in July. With recent traffic topping 20,000 visitors per month, the new website has grown significantly since launching in January. The property portal offers a complete global directory of hotel-branded residences and hotel-condominiums for sale, where prospective buyers can search by hotel brand, lifestyle and destination, and click through to developer websites, view specific homes for sale, and connect with specialist real estate brokers.
Property hunters from around the world have been logging on to the site, with Europeans making up 30% of web traffic, with Russians, British and Austrians most active. Led by the United States, the Americas represent nearly 20% of all traffic while the Asia-Pacific region and Indian subcontinent each make up 17%. The remaining 17% comes from the Africa and the Middle East, one of the regions leading the way in innovative new property developments.
For the first time, Dubai’s Address Hotels ranked as the most searched hotel brand on HotelHomes.com, ranking alongside Six Senses and the new 1 Hotels brand from Starwood Capital, which is in the process of launching a new for-sale property in Miami known as the 1 Hotel & Residences South Beach. Florida ranked in the top three most-searched locations for the fifth month out of the past seven, joined this month by Austria – where Vienna is an increasingly popular global property destination – and India, where many new hotel-residential developments are in the works.
For specific development projects, the top spot was earned by the Dusit Thani Pool Villas in Phuket, Thailand, part of the impressive Laguna Phuket resort on the Andaman Sea. Rounding out the top three were the new Baccarat Residences New York and its $60 million penthouse and Montage Residences Deer Valley near Park City, Utah, and a four-bedroom duplex penthouse there, available for $4.995 million.
